So things were crazy during the holidays and it took awhile to recover I guess. Sorry, no excuse really. I found Facebook but I'm not really good at that either yet. It's fun to find people I haven't seen or talked to in awhile but it's even more of a guilty pleasure than blogstalking! January was lot's of fun, we went to the snow for New Year's which the kids loved.
Dave celebrated his birthday with Katelyn's first cake in her Easybake Oven, & I made a banana cream pie- from scratch! Which would have been great but I read something about lemon juice on the bananas to keep them from turning brown, so I gave it a try. Not a good idea folks! tangy banana cream pie??? and they went brown anyway. But everything else was easy peasy so I just may try again some day as it's Dave's fave.
We met up with the Wright's, for a trip to the zoo. We don't get to see them as much as we'd like these days since they are on the other side of town. But the kids got along really well, usually they fight about everything until it's almost time to go and then cry and cry because they don't want to leave each other. Something about first borns I guess. The girl's had never been on the camel before so we tried something new. Poor Kenzie decided she didn't think that was a good idea at the last minute so it was just Kate and Megan, they loved it. And they have redone the children's area since we'd been there last- it's all done like the fisher-price farm set. Way cute! So if anyone is up for a trip to the zoo, we'd love to go just let us know. Gotta get our money's worth outta that membership, right?
I had been saying Brody needed a haircut for a few weeks now, but hadn't been able to make it happen. I think I was a little scared all his curls would go away. But never fear, they are here to stay I think. Kayla did an awesome job and cut just enough that he didn't look like a brillo pad any more. I am so sorry about the sand, though. She has this great backyard with a park-like playground, sand and all. So while she was cutting Katelyn's hair Brody and Brex were outside being manly men and having a ball. When I went to get him for his turn, his hands and clothes were dirty so I brushed him off and brought him inside. I missed the fact that he had dumped the intire sandbox on his head. Probably not so fun to try and give a haircut with all that sand, and more than a little messy in her salon, sorry girl! He looks like such a big boy now! I love it.

A home made pie!! I am impressed, bravo:) Brody is such a stud!!! I have a membership to the zoo also. We should totally go, especially when its not 120 degrees outside:)
Yay! A post! Missed you this morning...but I did it! I think I need to up my weights, though. I left the gym at 10 instead of 11...so that was awesome! Hopefully you feel better and were able to make it this morning.
I love the pictures...my fav is Kate with her oven...so adorable. You'll have to tell me how she likes it. I'd love for my girls to have that, but I suppose we should wait a while until we figure out E's issues. And I LOVE banana creme pie too!! See you tonight(if you're back yet)!
